Writing about what you know

They say you should write about what you know…

Many years ago, I got myself qualified (at the local dry ski slope) as a Ski Instructor, and, that winter, got some weekend work at Aviemore in Scotland.

Over the years, I improved my qualifications and experience, and worked as an Instructor in Aviemore, Glenshee and Glencoe and at 4 different dry ski slopes in Scotland. I’ve also skied in Scotland’s other 2 snow resorts – Aonach Mhor and The Lecht, and at other artificial slopes, including Xscape (indoor snow!) at Braehead in Glasgow. Oh yes, and I’ve tried snowboarding as well – though I never boarded in good weather as it was too frustrating not to be on my skis!

So the books are an amalgam of my experiences at those various locations, mixed with an overdose of imagination and a hint of mystery!

I hope you will enjoy reading them as much as I’ve enjoyed the writing 🙂
